Recently, we had our first ever spamming attempt on one of our groups. Fortunately, it's really easy to moderate and prevent spam on most social networks. But, it did trigger an offline discussion between a few group members about what is acceptable and what is not. Without further adieu, here is our new spam policy:
Spam sucks. No one likes it, we all get too much of it and it causes people to leave groups like Linking Indiana. Our policy towards unsolicited advertisements is one of zero tollerance. If you post a message to one of our groups that is an advertisement, we will remove the message. If you repeatedly post unsolicited advertisements to Linking Indiana groups, you will be banned from the group.
